While you are grounded, the rhythm of your heart is supported

While you’re grounded, you are supported, your heart health, just in the rhythm that it beats, the most basic function of the heart is supported. When you undock yourself and become insulated from the healing support of the earth, it goes back to baseline, back to this disconnect, back to a more functional perfunctory robotic function, which again, that’s one of the biggest ways that we have to predict who’s going to suffer and what someone’s lifespan is after stress or a health crisis, like a heart attack, talking about the heart.

That’s one thing. I love it that on the physical level, we have medical studies showing how being grounded changes the rhythm of your heartbeat and makes it more robust, and makes it more sensitive. Then if you kind of take a step back and look at it energetically, how that might translate, the strength of your heart is that adaptability. You lose that adaptability, you lose the strength of it, and think about your emotions, too. It’s the same thing. That’s why I like to use grounding as a treatment for emotional disturbances, like a panic attack.

Say you’re in a panic. Everybody knows what that feels like when your heart is pounding and it’s getting into that fight or flight. Now you’ve lost that beautiful sensitivity. You’ve lost that dance. You just want to survive, and your heart is pounding. You’ve lost your heart rate variability. It’s just getting you through. If you have ever just gone outside and just sat on the ground or laid on the ground if it’s bad enough, I tell my patients to just lay face plant on the ground, or turn around and look up at the sky.

You can feel a difference in you if you close your eyes and just internally listen to, or even feel your pulse. Your heart responds, it gets back into that rhythm of, okay, I’m connected to something bigger. I’m not in survival mode. I’m going to be okay. Just those moments where you look up at the stars and you’re like, okay, “I’m grateful just to exist.” You get back into that healthy dance of I’m connected to something besides just the survival of this organism right here. So, it’s like all the way from just the electrical activity, and this is just one medical study, all the way up through your emotions and your survivability. That’s heart rate variability in just one nutshell.

Electrical docking to the earth

There’s a lot of talk about how, when you touch the earth, it’s an electron transfer. There are negative electrons on the outside of the earth. The earth is negatively charged, and when we build up stress and damage in disease by being disconnected, we get this inflammatory, which is positively charged free radicals in our body, this inflammation that builds up. So, there’s a lot of talk about how it’s simply the electrons coming in and neutralizing our body. I think it goes more than that, and I think the medical literature reflects that. For example, this heart rate variability, I don’t think is because electrons have come in.

I think this is electrical docking. Did you know that the earth itself has a heartbeat? Did you know that the earth emanates its own energy? So, it’s a syncing of our core with the Earth’s core. I’m not a huge fan, I’m just talking about just the electrical transfer because I really do think it’s more than that. I think like, just heart rate variability, just the fact that the heart … I think that explains how grounding to the earth outside really supports our mood, because if it’s supporting the sensitivity and adaptability of our heart just in the way it beats, without even talking about the circulation or any other parameters yet, that supports our mood, that supports our ability to adapt to stress, that supports gratitude, that supports our ability to be open-hearted and love, and that kind of thing.

Electrons transferring is just the surface of grounding benefits

You can’t talk about one without talking about the other. Heart rate variability. I feel less angry, or my panic attack is stopped because I’m connected to the earth, and it’s an electrical level. A lot of people, again, talk about electronic transfer just because that’s what we kind of have figured out so far, but I think we’re going to find that there’s chakra energy, scalar energy. It could be the way the water, mostly water, and how that’s structured in response to connecting to the earth magnetic. There’s a lot unanswered. What I would like to say is that even if we don’t know exactly how there’s a lot of things in medicine, we don’t know why it works or how it works, but we do have the medical proof in scientific studies and repetitive results that are documentable and statistically significant.

We know that it does work even if we don’t 100% know “how” it works. I mean, if you Google search it, you’re going to see, oh, electrons come in and neutralize, and I’m sure that’s part of it, but do we know all of it? Hell no. We don’t know all of it at all. I don’t even think we know a part of it really.
I mean, they don’t really know. Do we know why meditation works, or why yoga works, or why deep breathing works, or why … I mean, even, I will say, being a physician, we don’t even know why most of the prescription medications work or don’t work. We don’t even know how that cascades. If you think about it, and this is what struck me when I was going through medical school, it kind of scared me because I realized, instead of learning about everything we know in medicine, what I really learned was how much we don’t know, because we can’t even create one cell yet. We can’t go in and make, fabricate one cell that stays alive and multiplies and creates a human being.

Grounding specifically supports the circulation and the way the blood moves through the body

Do you know what I mean? We can work with stem cells, we can work what’s already there. What was really revealing to me is how much we don’t know, because every drug that they would memorize, here’s what you do. You treat this with this. But underneath, it was like, how does it work? And the answer was always, we don’t really know how it works, but here’s what it does to the body, and that’s where we’re at with grounding.

I don’t really know how it works. I’m not a huge fan of thinking electrons explain everything, electron transfer. But here is what it does to the human body, that I can tell you. Here’s what it does with heart rate variability. If you want to go to the next thing, here’s what it does to the viscosity of our blood, or here’s what it does to a red blood cell, or here’s what it does to muscle perfusion. I can tell you those things, that’s where we’re at. With specifically targeting heart health, the next most really eye-opening study to me is blood viscosity—how the blood travels through your body.

Obviously, your blood feeds your own heart. Then it goes and disperses out to your entire body. So, whether you’re worried about your cognitive function or you’re worried about a wound healing on your foot, or you’re worried about diabetes or anything that you’re worried about, sleep or hormones, as a byproduct of increasing the perfusion of all the tissues in your body, your cardiac function supports your whole body, and so your circulatory system supports your whole body.

Since grounding specifically supports the circulation and the way the blood moves through the body, it really supports everything. So, it’s really interesting, I think, that you pick the topic of the heart and heart health, because it really impacts anything that any patient or any person who’s just interested in healing anything. It’s smart to focus on heart health because there’s nothing that’s not interconnected with the heart and the circulatory system in the body.

When we’re talking about blood viscosity and how the blood travels through your body and the fact that it clots less, the fact that it moves more freely, the fact that not only does the blood move more freely, but the vasculature also opens up and allows it to pass more. So, the blood vessels dilate and the blood going in the blood vessels clot less. It speeds healing everywhere through your whole body. So, starting with heart health is perfect, no matter what anybody’s interested in healing.

You need your capillary system, you need your blood to get to that organ to give it nutrition, to give it oxygen, to help give it antibodies to fight infections and that kind of thing, to repair and recover from just daily wear and tear, even if you’re not sick.

How to recognize the instant health effects of grounding

This isn’t really targeted to people who even have a disease. To support wellness, you need to perfuse your tissues. There’s a lot of studies. In the first study that I’m aware of, people were grounded through their feet, so their feet were grounded. Then they visualized the blood flowing to the capillary system up in your face. This is a head-to-toe thing. You’re being grounded through your feet. Then they looked at the way the blood flows to the face.

Almost instantaneously, the capillaries in the face responded to being ground down at the feet. So, it’s an electrical thing. Something didn’t go in through your body, travel through the bloodstream, or get digested in the gut, be distributed, and then over time, you see an effect. We’re talking about almost an instant effect.

“The minute the body’s grounded, even your pinky or your big toe, I can see in an EEG, your brainwaves change, or I can look in your skin and I can see your capillaries dilate.”

In the movie,_ Heal For Free_, they show this beautiful effect of the capillaries dilating, because they looked at the retina. That’s a really easy place to see blood flow. All you need is to have a flashlight shine in the back of the eye and you can see the blood vasculature. It is sort of indicative of the blood flow through your whole body. They grounded a patient through the bottom of his foot, and they let him stay grounded for a little while, and then they looked in the back of the eye. You can see this in the film.

The retinal specialists had never, ever, ever seen this. Once you lose perfusion in the back of the retina, once it’s damaged, you don’t go back. It’s kind of a one-way street. Especially with macular degeneration, which is what they were looking at with this guy. As you lose the perfusion of your retina, you lose the function of your eye, and the best we can do in modern medicine now is slow that down. With grounding, it actually reversed. Blood was flowing to the parts of the retina that hadn’t floated in a long time. The retinal specialist, who’s one of the top specialists in the whole country, has never, ever seen that before.

There was just dead silence from him, and he’s like, I’ve never seen the retina reperfuse ever. This is just the tiniest little example of how just electrically docking to the earth instantly changes the perfusion of your whole body. That’s sort of heart-related. This speaks to taking a step back and thinking about how the heart works and how it functions. It functions because it’s an organ designed to connect and interconnect your whole body. It goes to every tissue in your body, it feeds everything in your body.

It does the work of the lungs transporting the oxygen, it does the work of the gut, whatever you digest, the nutrition, it transports that. You really need the function of the heart in your circulatory system. It is grounding instantaneously, opening up and dilating the blood vessels. For example, in the retina, or the other example I gave was a skin study, and there was also another example, several examples showing muscular perfusion, showing an almost instantaneous change. We’re not talking like, okay, they grounded, and eight weeks later, we looked back. I’m talking, they grounded, and they looked right then at what the blood’s doing.
